Who We Are
A Church That Feels
Like Family
Since 1996, Living Streams Centre has been a Spirit-led, Word-based community in Kisumu — where every person is family and every life matters.
Our Story
Rooted in Kisumu,
Faithful Since 1996
Every great move of God starts with a step of obedience. Ours began in 1996.
Deliverance Church International — Living Streams Centre was officially launched in 1996 by Bishop William Tuimising in Kisumu, Kenya. What began as a seed of faith planted on Carwash Grounds has grown into a vibrant, multi-generational church family serving Kisumu County and beyond.
Under the ongoing leadership of Bishop Elisha Odhoch, the church has remained anchored to its founding conviction: that the local church, built on godly family values, is God's primary instrument for transforming communities.
Today, Living Streams Centre is home to six thriving ministries — reaching men, women, youth, children, worshippers, and the wider community of Kisumu with the love and power of Jesus Christ.

The Shepherds
Behind the Vision
Every leader carries a journey. Here are the people God has placed at the helm of Living Streams Centre.

Senior Bishop / Lead Pastor
Bishop Elisha Odhoch
Bishop Elisha Odhoch serves as the Senior Bishop and Lead Pastor of Living Streams Centre, where he has provided steadfast spiritual covering and visionary leadership for the congregation in Kisumu. His calling to pastoral ministry was shaped by a deep personal encounter with Christ and a conviction that the local church is God's chosen instrument for community transformation.
A gifted communicator and devoted shepherd, Bishop Odhoch has overseen the growth of the church from its early foundations into a vibrant, multi-generational family with six active ministries. He carries a particular burden for the integrity of family life in the church, believing that godly homes are the building blocks of a godly nation.
He is committed to raising a generation of believers who are rooted in the Word, empowered by the Spirit, and visible in their communities — men and women who take their faith beyond the sanctuary walls.
"A church that transforms families will transform a city."

Rev. William Obunde

Rev. William Obunde
Rev. William Obunde joined Deliverance Church along Kibos Road in August 1996 as a young couple, and has been part of the Living Streams family ever since. Over the years he has served faithfully in many roles — as an usher, SEND centre leader, home cell leader, and deacon — before being commissioned as a pastor in 2007. On 5th December 2025, he was officially ordained as a Reverend.
Today, Rev. William serves as Patron of four departments: the Eagles Men's Fellowship, Praise & Worship, Evangelism & Discipleship, and Media. His breadth of service across these areas reflects a ministry that is equally at home sharpening men in accountability as it is equipping the church to reach beyond its walls.
He holds a Diploma in Transformational Church Leadership from Pan African Christian University (PAC) and a Diploma in Bible and Theology from East African School of Theology (EAST). He is married to Pastor Mary, and together they are blessed with three children — two sons and a daughter.
"Pastoral care is simply love with sleeves rolled up."

Rev. Charles Nyaura

Rev. Charles Nyaura
Rev. Charles Agweny Nyaura joined Living Streams Centre in March 2005, drawn by the Holy Spirit and welcomed by Bishop Elisha Odhoch. Over the years, he faithfully served across multiple church departments before being commissioned into pastoral ministry in February 2017 alongside his wife, Pastor Lydia Anyango Obueno.
By the trust of the church's leadership, Rev. Charles and Pastor Lydia serve as Patrons of four vital departments: the Development Department, Daughters of Faith, Kingdom Generation (Sunday School), and the Hospitality Department. Their oversight has catalysed significant growth in each of these ministries, and they continue to trust God for greater impact in the seasons ahead.
Beyond the local assembly, their ministry reach extends across the wider Body of Christ. They serve as Campus Overseers at AHEMA Bible Training College and as Directors of Word Foundation Ministries. In December 2025, the church celebrated a landmark milestone as Rev. Charles and Pastor Lydia were officially ordained as Reverends — a confirmation of years of faithful, fruitful service.
"Discipleship is the long, faithful work of becoming who God says you are."

Founding Bishop
Bishop William Tuimising
Bishop William Tuimising answered a call that would plant a seed of faith deep into the heart of Kisumu. In 1996, he officially launched Deliverance Church International — Living Streams Centre on Carwash Grounds, bringing with him a vision as clear as the name he chose: living streams — a church that would be a source of life, healing, and renewal for all who came to it.
The structures, values, and spiritual DNA he established continue to bear fruit in the lives of hundreds of families across Kisumu County. His legacy is not just a building or a denomination — it is a people who carry the family spirit of Living Streams wherever they go.
